Natya with a colorful performance as part of Gokulashtami celebrations. To elevate the joyous ”Occasion of the birth of Krishna's, girls and boys of natya gave graceful solo and group performances. Most of them being thematic dances depicting the beauty and greatness of Lord Krishna.

Teams give splendid performances showcasing their unique styles and dance moves.Performances included solo, duo and trio combinations. Students choose choreos that highlighted their best styles, include so many songs in so many different languages so as to engage and entertain the audience


Theme



1. "Glimpses of Gokul: Krishna's Childhood Adventures"

This theme can showcase various episodes from Krishna's childhood in Gokul. Dancers can portray Krishna's interactions with his friends, his charming pranks, and his relationship with Mother Yashoda. The performance can capture the innocence, joy, and playfulness of Krishna's early years.


2. "Gopis' Devotion: Raas Leela Revisited"

Dive into the devotion and love of the Gopis for Krishna. This theme can explore the deeper spiritual meaning behind the Raas Leela, emphasizing the Gopis' dedication as a representation of the soul's longing for divine union. Express the different facets of devotion through dance movements.


3. "Lifting the Govardhan Mountain: Strength in Unity"

Highlight the episode where Krishna lifts the Govardhan Mountain to protect the villagers. Use choreography to symbolize the unity of the villagers and their faith in Krishna's power. This theme can emphasize the importance of collective effort and the role of a higher power in times of need.


4. "Kaliya Mardana: Conquering Inner Demons"

Depict Krishna's victory over the serpent Kaliya as a metaphor for overcoming one's inner challenges and negative tendencies. Use dance movements to show the transformation of fear into courage and the triumph of light over darkness.


5. "Flute's Melody: Enchanting the Universe"

Celebrate Krishna's melodious flute playing and its captivating effect on all living beings. Infuse the performance with grace and fluidity, illustrating how Krishna's music harmonizes with the universe and elevates the spirit.


6. "Divine Friendship: Krishna and Sudama"

Explore the theme of true friendship and humility through the story of Krishna and Sudama. Choreograph the exchange of love and affection between the two friends, highlighting Krishna's magnanimity and Sudama's devotion.


7. "Nanda Gopa Utsava: Celebrating Gokul's Joy"

Create a festive atmosphere by showcasing the villagers' jubilant celebration of Gokulastami. Incorporate colorful costumes, energetic dance movements, and vibrant props to capture the spirit of community and joy.


8. "Gokul's Guardians: Protecting the Innocence"

Focus on Krishna's role as a protector of the innocent. Portray instances where Krishna safeguards the villagers from various challenges, underlining his divine presence as a guardian.

Classical Dance - Solo

Max Registrations : 5 per Department (First come First Serve basis)

Max event duration : 10 minutes

Judging Criteria :

Thalam (rythm) Expression ,Steps,Costume, Body Language.







Dance - Group

Semi-Classical, Folk , Contemporary

Max Registrations : 3 per Department (First come First Serve basis)

Members per group: Max -8 Min -4

Max time allowed : 10 mins, including setup time

No Karaoke allowed,One student to perform only in one group.

More than 8 members/team in the form of shuffling/mixing with other departments is not allowed.

A mix of boys and girls is not allowed in the performances

Judging Criteria : Co-ordination. Song selection, Expression, Costume, Makeup, Steps, Utilization of stage (formations).
